How to remove your iCloud account from your device

This guide shows you how to remove the iCloud account from your device before you send it in for repair. In order for us to be able to fully diagnose and test your device, we require you to sign out of the iCloud account on your device. When you receive your device back you are able to sign in to iCloud again.

01

Click on the settings icon. This is the grey “cogs” icon, shown here in the lower right corner, it may be in a different place on your device.

02

Click on your Apple ID, this is usually your name. It is shown here as “Greenbridge Technology” at the top of the page.

03

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Sign Out”

04

You will then be asked to enter your Apple ID password. Enter your password and tap “Turn Off”. If you do not know your password, please contact Apple for support.

05

Review your preferences for keychain and safari. This is asking if you want stored passwords and browsing history to remain on the device after the iCloud has been removed. Choose your desired options and then click “Sign Out” in the top right corner.

06

You will then see this screen whilst the iCloud is removed. This may take up to 30 seconds.

07

Now the iCloud is removed. Where the Apple ID used to say your name, it will now say “Sign in to your iPhone”.
