How to remove your TouchID

This video will show you how to remove the "TouchID" from your MacBook before we collect it for repair. You may have a number of different fingerprints saved on the device and they all need to be removed as shown in this video.

Click the Apple icon in the top left corner

Click “System Preferences” to open

Click “TouchID” to open the TouchID settings

You will now see the list of fingerprints stored on the device

Put your cursor over one of the fingerprints and a little “x” will appear, click the “x”

You will be prompted to enter the device’s password

Click “Delete” to remove the fingerprint data

Repeat the above steps to remove all fingerprints stored on the device
